It’s been an exciting and inspiring year for us at Children Heard and Seen. This last year has seen the expansion of the ground-breaking initiative, Operation Paramount, across the Thames Valley region. We have also had three training programmes on parental imprisonment CPD accredited, and launched our first ever Lived Experience Support Group at Westminster.
We are now supporting more children and families with a parent in prison than ever. It is important to note however, that whilst we take this opportunity to celebrate our achievements, our work is far from over. We will continue to raise awareness of the harms of parental imprisonment amongst key-policy makers, and campaign for a national system of identification and support for children with a parent in prison.
