Children Heard and Seen

Operation Paramount Expansion Launched

After a successful pilot, Operation Paramount has been rolled out right across the Thames Valley Region. For the first time ever, data from the Prisons Service is used to identify children left behind after their parent’s imprisonment. Children Heard and Seen are subsequently able to offer the family a specialised, tailored package of support.

The below video explains the process in more detail:

Our director, Sarah Burrows, also featured on BBC Radio Oxford talking about the launch of Operation Paramount – and the need for and nature of support that Children Heard and Seen provides to children with a parent in prison. Go to 2:18:10 to hear it.
