Children Heard and Seen Volunteer Mentors

We are working towards providing 6-12 months weekly volunteer mentoring provision to 10 primary age children who have a parent in prison. Year 7 children have been prioritised due to 10 years of age being the age of criminal responsibility. Mentors to act as a positive role model and provide regular opportunities for children to be supported through any challenges they might face. We have identified 8 mentors so far and are now looking at how we can utilise their skills and experience to best work with children and young people of prisoners.
